Q I've been using Retin-A or Retin-A Micro for about a year now, and I am still experiencing peeling and redness in noticeable amounts. I'm starting to think I am just too sensitive for it (even though I'm using the one of the lower dosages, 0.025%). If I were to use Retin-A once a week (or twice a week, if I could) would that still help prevent wrinkles and acne? Is once per week beneficial, or is it just not often enough?
A

Yes, once a week is still going to be beneficial to the skin. Any effort you put towards the skin is going to beneficial. You may also want to consider a non-prescription retinol such as Avene Retrinal Cream 0.05. Best skin care wishes. Meagan, Esthetician
