Just bought 2nd bottle, not sure how hydrating it is...
I just bought a 2nd bottle of this, I'm not sure how hydrating it is but I use it to dilute The Ordinary's resveratrol drops. Since they pretty potent the Avene serum works well to dilute them. I like that this does not contain any oils so it fits nicely into my skincare routine after serums but before lotions/creams.

Wish this formula was fragrance-free!
Unfortunately this serum burned my sensitive skin and I had to wash it off immediately. Giving it two stars because I did like the texture of the serum and a little goes a long way. For a company that advertises their dedication to sensitive skin, I wish Avene would make more fragrance-free products!

I have very sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin. My skin is intolerant to many products and it is very dehydrated. I have been using this serum for roughly 4-5 months now and my skin is soothed and moisturized. I use this under my Vanicream moisturizer and it stays hydrated throughout the day.

This is a wonderful serum that hydrates sensitive dry skin. After cleansing I apply 1 pump onto moist face and gently pat until absorbed. It softens and prepares my skin for laying other products. I have mild redness on my face but experienced no irritation when using. I highly recommend as a 1st step application.

Oily Skin Review
I know this is actually intended to be used as a serum for dry skin, but it actually is amazing as a moisturizer for my oily skin. This product is actually oil free and is a lightweight formula that helps plump skin by using a mineral rich spring water base. It works really well to keep my skin plump, hydrating, and soft. I love this product, though I would not use it in addition to another moisturizer as that would be too heavy for me. My sister has very dry skin and this helps a little in adding water to her skin, but isn't enough on its own for her.

hydration effect is good
Avene basically focuses on hydration and it does exactly what it advertises. It leaves skin hydrated but balanced, but nothing more. Good for sensitive skin i think.
