Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

It works, but to a certain extent
This product really works with hyperpigmentation, but it works to a certain point and then it just plateaus and you must use continuously. but, this has been the only thing that has budged any hyperpigmentation so its works it. i also got melasma on my hands, hormones, and its currently lightening those marks on my hands. worth it for the price.

I am in love with Skinceuticals CE, and feel that it's totally changed my skin. I wanted to give Discoloration Defense a try, but I believe it fell short. I didn't notice any changes that I didn't already attribute to the Vit C product. Overall, this product just didn't hit the mark for me.

used religiously and made no difference
i used this religiously, first a few sample sizes, then full size bottle for months and use SPF 50 religiously, but it made no difference in any of my dark spots from sun around cheeks and eyes or on areas where i had blemishes. for reference, i have fair european skin.
