Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Great Product!
My dermatologist recommended SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense for brown patches and uneven skin tone. I have been using this product for the past year and find it to be effective in improving the overall appearance of my skin. Not sure about this one
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the difference between this product and the Phyto+ and never really felt like I believed any of the responses. I used the phyto+ and it worked fine. But I decided to try this one because it actually lists the % for the key ingredients. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think it worked a little but I didn't give it the full 3 months. I decided to switch to hydroquinone because I was impatient. I would definitely go back to using it again in the future if I have more hyperpigmentation from the sun.

A little disappointed
I've used SkinCeutical products for years and have always been extremely happy with the products. I'm on the fence about this product. I've been using the product for about 6 weeks on recent post acne spots and mild melasma. I use it day and night and I haven't noticed much change. I really expected to see more results but maybe I need to give it a full 12 weeks. For now I'm only giving this product 3 stars.

Not good for super sensitive skin
I bought this one to erase my acne redness but it hurt my face once applied. So I gave it to my mum who has a oil and non-sensitive skin and she definitely loves it.

Finally some that ACTUALLY lightens my acne marks
I put this on in the morning in conjunction with Phloretin CF and at night with C E Ferulic . . . I struggled with hormonal acne for close to 5 years and once I came out on the other side, after one year with healed skin I added this to my routine. It has helped with my pigmentation issues from acne SO MUCH. My scars have diminished and my skin is just overall glowing and so healthy looking. I tried for YEARS to find products that would actually lighten my scars and improve the texture of my skin . . . these have restored my faith

Not Effective at all!!
I purchased this since I love their entire line. But I will tell you after using an entire bottle, I found NO improvement at all! Given this price point, I expected to see results. I usually use Elure Advanced skin brightening, tip from my dermatologist, but this was a big fat zero in my book! I don't know why it didn't work for me, but it was a complete waste of money.

Lightweight serum
I have only been using this a few weeks and I do notice a very faint difference in the tonality of my dark spots. I do not think I have been on it for as long as necessary to show some real results so I'll check back in here after a few months go by. I use it once in the morning after washing and before moisturizing. I also use a retinoid at night. The study listed along with the product states 12 weeks so I'll update my review at that point. I do use a sunscreen on the weekends, but I work in a lab so I don't get into the sun during the week at all. My dark spots always show up after I go in the sun only once without adequate protection.

Haven't seen results
I've been using this for a few weeks, and haven't seen many results. I will continue to try it out to see if i notice a difference. But with Melasma, i haven't seen much of a difference!
