Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Good product
I've probably been using this product for 2 or 3 weeks now and I have seen a little difference in some of my acne scars but not to the point that I'd like. I don't like to judge products this early on because most products take patience and also depends on the individuals problem area. I gave this product a 4 star because I have seen a small difference therefore I feel like it has potential to fulfill my skins needs but definitely not an overnight product.

Has reduced signs of melasma

Great for Dark Spots

Great for melasma
I have been battling melasma for many years and had a difficult time finding something that would make a difference with my skin. I refused to use anything with hydroquinone because it is banned for use in European skincare (which makes me think there might be something wrong with it). I've been using Discoloration Defense twice a day for for several months and have seen a large improvement in my skin. I also like that fact that my acne prone skin can tolerate this without any issues.

Made me look ill
This product made me appear ghostly white and unhealthy after about two weeks of using a few drops twice a day. Yikes. I caught my reflection in the mirror and whatever the lighting was made me do a double take. I looked pale and sickly.
