Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Brighter skin: yes Targeted brightening: no, still the same Purging: on & off using the bottle (finished it 2 days ago). The worst was the first month, but it wasn't terrible. I would suggest this for first signs of aging and use after too much sun in the summertime. Good bang for for the buck in the the product (used every other evening) lasted almost 4 months. Not totally sold, so I will continue hunting for the Vitamin C product that works the best for me.

Great Product
Much better product that their previous color corrector. This works really well for dark spots and acne scarring. It is also moisturizing more than drying. You can use it in the summer without further damage to yous skin. I am 43 with acne and rosacea and sensitive skin.

So far so good
I love SkinCeuticals products and they usually work well for me. It's still a little early to tell but I'm hoping for a dramatic improvement to my dark spots. The consistency is a tad bit oily but it does pair well with my other skincare products and it spreads very easily. I'm not a big fan of dropper bottles. I would have preferred an airless pump.

This works for PIH and scarring
I have been using SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense for 4 months now and my stubborn PIH is almost gone. This lighten my scars more than hydroquinone ever did. I use once a day with my Vit C . Its liquid texture plays nice with other serums and layers beautifully. Thankfully there is no sd alcohol or dimethicone which for the SkinCeuticals brand is a huge leap!
